Turkey hash with potato and beetroot

My husband has one dish- “corned beef hash”. It’s always nice to have someone else cook for you, especially after a long day at work, but I have to say I’m not overly fond of the old fatty and extremely salty corned beef. I’m glad to say, I’ve just found a great alternative – turkey hash. Lets see if ge will give it a go. If he doesn’t, I sure will.

Sweet Potato Cakes

Sweet potato is a wonderful food with so many health benefits. It has a low GI, is an excellent source of flavenoids (beta carotene and vitamin A), is high in fibre, Vitamin C and Vitamin B6. You can make sweet or savoury versions of sweet potato cakes. Here is a simple one you could try for breakfast or brunch.

Mushroom Muffins

It’s mushroom month in September and I’m fascinated by this recipe for mushroom muffins. Mushrooms are great. They are low in fat, low in calories and rich in vitamins and minerals such as B vitamins, selenium and potassium. This is a great way to increase your five a day. You could have them for breakfast or as a savoury snack.
